Job summary

OneByZero in Asia Pacific is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer I to shape architecture and engineering direction across multiple teams. This senior role tackles complex enterprise AI challenges and elevates engineering capability while actively using AI tools to boost productivity.

You will mentor engineers, define platforms and reference architectures, and drive technology selection and platform investments across regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 12 to 18 years of experience delivering and architecting production software at scale.
• Deep knowledge of system design and distributed architectures.
• Extensive AWS expertise including security and enterprise deployment patterns.
• Proven track record guiding multiple teams or business lines.
• Experience in regulated industries is valued.
• Strong influence and stakeholder leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and technical strategy across engagements, platforms, and teams.
• Lead design of large-scale, secure production systems for regulated clients.
• Set engineering standards and reference architectures firm-wide.
• Provide deep technical leadership on delivery and reliability problems.
• Mentor senior engineers and grow the technical bench.
• Develop reusable platforms and frameworks to scale delivery.
• Champion responsible use of AI tools across engineering.
• Collaborate with delivery leadership and clients on technical direction.
