Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Singapore seeks an experienced Lead Piping Engineer for offshore FPSO/offshore platform projects. You will lead piping design, materials, stress analyses, layout and support concepts and ensure timely deliverables.

The role requires a Mechanical/Materials/Chemical Engineering degree with about 15 years of offshore piping experience, independent work style, and strong coordination with multi-discipline teams to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering
• Experience in offshore platform/FPSO piping engineering
• Familiar with offshore/FPSO piping materials, stress, layout, and support engineering concepts
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with piping materials, stress, and layout teams
• Lead Piping Engineer for small-sized FPSO/offshore platform projects
• Lead experience in mid-level offshore projects is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D model reviews per project requirements
• Produce piping deliverables such as calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports, and third-party submissions
• Provide skills and knowledge in codes, regulations, and good engineering practices
• Understand client needs and address design parameters and issues
• Conduct QA/QC and engineering compliance checks
• Review and manage project specifications, engineering procedures, and policies
• Adhere to company processes and deliverables to client
• Assist Department Manager with discipline-related activities and cross-center work sharing

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Familiar with offshore Piping materials and stress engineering, platforms and FPSO layout design, material handling, piping/pipe support design, and safety requirements.

• Perform 3D model reviews as per the project requirements.
• Familiar with preparation of Piping inputs for Project Proposals and Estimation of work/CTR etc.
• Responsible to produce Piping deliverables such as design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports, and various third-party submissions.
• Provide skills, integrity, and knowledge in key areas of discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements, and current good engineering practices.
• Understand clients needs, identify and address design parameters and problems, and develop and implement solutions.
• Perform inter-discipline and discipline QA/QC and engineering compliance checks on all work performed by themselves or junior engineers within the group.
• Review and manage project and general specifications, engineering procedures, and engineering policy.
• Adhere to company processes and procedures.
• Responsible for all deliverables completed in his/her section and delivered to the client.
• Ensure efficient and effective production of project deliverables.
• Assist the Department Manager in discipline-related activities and work sharing with other centers.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering with 15 years of experience.

• Relevant Offshore platform/FPSO Piping Engineering experience.
• Familiar with offshore/FPSO piping materials, stress, layout, and support engineering and design concepts.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and coordinate well with the piping materials, stress, and layout teams, as well as other disciplines.
• Possess hands-on experience as Lead Piping Engineer for small-sized FPSO/offshore platform projects.
• Lead experience in few mid-level Offshore projects shall be added advantage
