Job summary

Kellogg Brown & Root Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced Lead Piping Engineer for offshore FPSO projects. You will manage piping design, materials, stress analysis, and layout coordination to meet client requirements and project schedules.

The role requires hands-on delivery of piping calculations, specifications, procedures, and reports, with strong leadership across multi-disciplinary teams in an offshore setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering with extensive offshore experience.
• Relevant offshore platform/FPSO piping engineering experience.
• Familiar with offshore/FPSO piping materials, stress, layout, and support engineering concepts.
• Lead piping engineer experience on FPSO/offshore projects.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with offshore piping materials and stress engineering, platforms and FPSO layout design, material handling, piping/pipe support design, and safety requirements.
• Perform 3D model reviews as per project requirements.
• Prepare piping inputs for proposals and estimate work/CTR.
• Produce piping deliverables: calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, and study reports.
• Provide discipline engineering expertise on codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Identify design parameters and implement solutions for client needs.
• Perform QA/QC and engineering compliance checks across disciplines.
• Review project and general specifications, procedures, and policies.
• Adhere to company processes and deliverables to clients.
• Support department manager and coordinate with other centers.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Familiar with offshore Piping materials and stress engineering, platforms and FPSO layout design, material handling, piping/pipe support design, and safety requirements.


• Perform 3D model reviews as per the project requirements.


• Familiar with preparation of Piping inputs for Project Proposals and Estimation of work/CTR etc.


• Responsible to produce Piping deliverables such as design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports, and various third-party submissions.


• Provide skills, integrity, and knowledge in key areas of discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements, and current good engineering practices.


• Understand clients' needs, identify and address design parameters and problems, and develop and implement solutions.


• Perform inter-discipline and discipline QA/QC and engineering compliance checks on all work performed by themselves or junior engineers within the group.


• Review and manage project and general specifications, engineering procedures, and engineering policy.


• Adhere to company processes and procedures.


• Responsible for all deliverables completed in his/her section and delivered to the client.


• Ensure efficient and effective production of project deliverables.


• Assist the Department Manager in discipline-related activities and work sharing with other centers.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering with 15 years of experience.


• Relevant Offshore platform/FPSO Piping Engineering experience.


• Familiar with offshore/FPSO piping materials, stress, layout, and support engineering and design concepts.


• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and coordinate well with the piping materials, stress, and layout teams, as well as other disciplines.


• Possess hands-on experience as Lead Piping Engineer for small-sized FPSO/offshore platform projects.


• Lead experience in few mid-level Offshore projects shall be added advantage
