Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks an engineer to contribute to the System Stability & Planning Department. You will review network development plans, perform system studies, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance across electricity and natural gas systems.

The role requires collaboration, independent work, and a proactive approach to maintaining security and reliability. Experience in gas and power systems, and familiarity with ISO standards, are desirable.

Qualifications

• Engineering background or specialization.
• Power plant operations and natural gas system operations knowledge is advantageous.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Review Ten-Year Transmission Network Development Plans for security and reliability.
• Perform system studies for impacts of new plants or consumer installations.
• Review generator testing compliance and on-site witnessing.
• Study electricity and gas interdependency to ensure gas network survival time and system stability.
• Review technical requirements for ancillary services facilities to maintain security of the power system.
• Conduct technical reviews of facilities providing ancillary services through EMC’s procurement process.
• Review facility registrations for participation in NEMS and ensure compliance with Market Rules and SOPs.
• Update SOPs and work processes to align with ISO requirements and quality improvement.
• Oversee and coordinate all phases of the facility registration process with stakeholders.
