Job summary

SMBC Group in Singapore seeks an experienced PMO professional to oversee the portfolio, ensure governance and financial discipline, and coordinate resource planning. You will maintain dashboards, prepare status reports, and drive standardisation of PMO processes.

The role requires strong communication, vendor management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and initiative. Banking/IT infra exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in PMO, portfolio management, and/or project management within banking/financial services or IT infrastructure.
• Good understanding of vendor management processes and practices.
• Strong competency in budget planning, financial tracking, and cost management.
• Practical knowledge of resource planning and utilization management.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive and self-driven with ownership and initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Support management and oversight of the project portfolio with governance, financial mgmt, and resource planning.
• Maintain project and portfolio dashboards and prepare regular status reports for management and stakeholders.
• Track and manage budget planning and utilization, coordinating payments with planning teams and vendors.
• Track and manage resource planning and utilization, coordinating hiring and onboarding activities.
• Facilitate communication across internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Support PMO, project, and team admin activities including governance, documentation, reporting, and action follow-ups.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of PMO governance and reporting processes.
