Job summary

Ascendze Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer / Automation Control Engineer to design, develop, and commission new industrial automation machines and equipment. The role focuses on PLC programming, motion control, and sensor/robot integration, with hands‑on development from control drawings to commissioning.

Responsibilities include testing, debugging, I/O checks, and customer-site support for installation and training.

PLC Programmer / Automation Control Engineer to develop and commission new industrial automation machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC programs for newautomation machines.
• Perform I/O checking, machine testing,debugging and commissioning.
• Develop and integrate motion control systems,including servo, stepper, positioning and multi-axis applications.
• Select, configure and integrate industrialsensors for detection, measurement and machine control.
• Program and integrate industrial robots,including PLC/robot communication, I/O, positioning and safety interlocking.
• Develop and modify HMI programs.
• Read and understand electrical schematics andcontrol drawings.
• Troubleshoot PLC, motion, sensor, robot andelectrical control problems.
• Support customer-site machine installation andcommissioning.
• Prepare machine operation/maintenancedocumentation and conduct customer training.

Mandate Requirement

• Minimum 3–4 years of hands‑on PLC programmingexperience developing NEW automation machines/equipment.
• Strong practical knowledge of Motion Control.
• Strong practical knowledge of Industrial SensorApplications.
• Strong practical experience in IndustrialRobotics Applications & Integration.
• Hands‑on experience with Inovance, Omron,Mitsubishi Electric or other major PLC platforms.
• Able to independently develop, debug andcommission automation machine control systems.
• Able to read and understand electrical controldrawings.
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, Control Engineering or related discipline.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• Willing to travel for machine installation andcommissioning.
