Job summary

Visa Hunt is seeking an Automation Software Engineer (PLC Programming) to develop and implement software for machine and robot control, as well as vision inspection systems in a manufacturing environment. The role includes support for installation, commissioning, validation, and on-site troubleshooting, with travel as needed.

You will work on circuit design for full-line machine control and manage automation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in machine control software design and development.
• Proficient in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Omron, Beckhoff).
• Knowledge of C# or SECS/GEM is advantageous.
• Experience in servo and motion control systems.
• Ability to deliver automation projects and machine commissioning on time.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation software for machine control, robot control, and vision inspection systems.
• Support control-system installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
• Assist with circuit design for full-line machine control systems.
• Manage automation projects or assigned project modules.
• Set up machines and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Provide on-site support for automation equipment.
• Travel overseas when required.
• Provide timely updates on project progress, key issues, and critical matters to management, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Resolve technical issues involving equipment, processes, and materials.
• Ensure issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
• Develop high-performance vision algorithms when required.
• Complete FAT and SAT for new customised machines within project timelines.
• Follow established processes, procedures, and systems.
• Meet customer requirements and project timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Working Hours: 5 days (Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
• Salary Package: Salary up to $5,800
• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop automation software for machine control, robot control, and vision inspection systems.
• Support control-system installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
• Assist with circuit design for full-line machine control systems.
• Manage automation projects or assigned project modules.
• Set up machines and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Provide on-site support for automation equipment.
• Travel overseas when required.
• Provide timely updates on project progress, key issues, and critical matters to management, vendors, and stakeholders.

• Experience in designing and troubleshooting servo and motion control systems.
