Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer in Singapore to design, develop, and implement PLC and HMI solutions for semiconductor applications. You will follow the SDLC, draft specifications, and ensure on-time delivery while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 2+ years in automation, strong PLC/HMI skills (Omron, Mitsubishi, Pro-face), and knowledge of motion control, PID and fieldbus protocols.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in automation/semiconductor.
• Strong PLC and HMI programming skills; Omron, Mitsubishi PLC, Pro-face HMI.
• Knowledge of motion control, analog signals, PID, and process control.
• Familiar with fieldbus communication (Modbus, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Able to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Willing to work after hours and travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed documentation
• Coordinate with relevant department to meet customer requirement and keep to project schedules
• Perform basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting
• Analyze existing software and identify areas for modification and improvement
• Keep to project schedules and resolve software and electrical issue

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the automation/semiconductor industry. Candidates will be offered a senior position based on qualification and/or experience.
• Strong programming skills in PLC and HMI. Preferably Omron and Mitsubishi PLC, Proface HMI
• Added Advantage:
• Programming skills in Motion Control, Analog, PIDs, Process Control.
• Knowledge of high-end fieldbus communication (eg. Modbus, EtherCAT, EIP)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Able to read, design and troubleshoot from electrical schematics
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Highly motivated, driven by excellence and having an eye for details.
• Able to work under tight schedules
• Able to work after office hours when required
