Job summary

Saksoft Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Lead Platform & Release Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience to design and sustain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines and release processes for Python-based backend applications. You will manage environments from development to production, drive automation, collaborate with architects, Infra and Security, and ensure adherence to SDM, Agile, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on software development, production support, and maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/IS or related field.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
• Proven experience in solution architecture and modernization initiatives.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python/Django-based backend frameworks.
• Experience designing and implementing integrations with MQ, APIs, microservices, and high-volume batch processing systems.
• Strong experience working on Linux/Unix platforms, including system administration and troubleshooting.
• Shell scripting for automation, monitoring, deployment, and operational tasks.
• Experience with DevOps concepts, practices, and tools.
• Experience managing and supporting Jenkins-based CI/CD processes.
• Strong experience with Git version control and repository management.
• Experience with diverse SDLC practices; knowledge of network fundamentals and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines for development, testing, deployment, and release activities.
• Manage application environments across Development, SIT, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production.
• Establish and enforce technical quality standards using SDM, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute releases, deployments, production cutovers, and rollbacks.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Infra, and Security to meet standards and governance.
• Develop and maintain platform engineering standards, deployment patterns, runbooks, and documentation.
• Ensure implementations conform to architectures, roadmaps, scalability, and support models.
• Drive automation to reduce manual effort and improve deployment reliability.
• Monitor release performance, deployment success, platform stability, and operational metrics.
• Communicate capabilities and schedules to stakeholders; support incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Work with application teams to enable deployment of Python-based backend apps.
• Analyse impacts of infra and deployment changes and mitigate risks.
