Job summary

TANGSPAC CONSULTING PTE LTD is seeking a seasoned DevOps/Platform Engineer for a contract role in Singapore. You will design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines to support software development, testing, deployment, and release activities.

You will collaborate with architects, infra teams and security to ensure compliance with enterprise standards, governance, and security policies while driving automation across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 8+ years experience in Release management, DevOps, Platform Engineering.
• Backend development experience with Python/Django/REST APIs.
• Strong Linux/Unix, shell scripting, SSH, and monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines for development, testing, deployment and release activities.
• Manage environments across Development, SIT, UAT, Pre-Production and Production for consistency and readiness.
• Enforce technical quality standards using SDM, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and automated testing practices.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute releases, deployments, production cutovers and rollbacks with minimal risk.
• Collaborate with Architects, Infra and Security teams to meet standards and governance requirements.
• Develop and maintain platform engineering standards, release procedures, and runbooks.
• Ensure implementations conform to roadmaps, scalability, and support models.
• Lead automation initiatives to reduce manual work and improve reliability.
• Monitor release performance and deployment success, improve platform stability.

Banking/ Fintech experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines to support software development, testing, deployment, and release activities.
• Manage application environments across Development, SIT, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production, ensuring consistency, stability, and operational readiness.
• Establish and enforce technical quality standards throughout project delivery by adopting Software Development Methodology (SDM) guidelines, Agile practices, DevOps principles, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and automated testing practices.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute application releases, deployment activities, production cutovers, and rollback procedures with minimal operational risk.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Infrastructure Teams, and Security Teams to ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, risk controls, and technology governance requirements.
• Develop and maintain platform engineering standards, deployment patterns, release procedures, operational runbooks, and environment management documentation.
• Ensure system implementations conform to approved solution architectures, technology roadmaps, scalability requirements, and operational support models.
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual operational effort, improve deployment reliability, and increase engineering productivity.
• Monitor and continuously improve release performance, deployment success rates, platform stability,and operational metrics.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, project teams, vendors, and support teams regarding platform capabilities, release schedules, deployment issues, and production support activities.
• Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, problem management, and implementation of preventive measures to improve platform reliability and operational resilience.
• Work closely with application development teams to enable seamless deployment and operation of Python-based backend applications and associated frontend components.
• Analyse impacts of infrastructure and deployment changes on existing systems, evaluate technical risks, and implement optimal solutions that maintain system integrity and service availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Releace management, DevOps, Platform Engineering
• Backend development: Python/Django/REST API Frameworks.
• OS skills: Linux/Unix, Shell Scripting, SSH, Application Monitoring and Analysis and Support.
• Infra skills : MS-SQL / Oracle (Design, Query using SQL, Optimize Queries), Apache WebServer, Jenkins, Git, and Infra Setup for applications.
