Job summary

VSL Singapore Pte Ltd (Main Office) is seeking an experienced Plant Superintendent to oversee specialised heavy construction plant and erection equipment for bridge and viaduct projects. The role requires hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems with experience in launching girders, lifting frames, segment erection equipment, commissioning and plant maintenance.

Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems in heavy construction.
Experience in launching girders, lifting frames or segment erection equipment.
Experience in preventive maintenance, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

Supervise the maintenance and repair of launching girders, segment erectors, lifting frames and other heavy-lifting equipment.
Manage maintenance and operational readiness of construction plant and equipment.
Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and electromechanical systems and coordinate repairs.
Plan preventive maintenance, inspections, testing and calibration to ensure reliability.
Coordinate with project teams, engineers, equipment manufacturers and site personnel on plant requirements and deployment.
Supervise testing and commissioning to meet project specs and requirements.
Provide technical guidance and training to site personnel on safe operation of plant and equipment.
