Job summary

Gammon-India-Limited in Singapore seeks a site-based Planning Engineer to develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the project team. You will coordinate inputs from contractors and suppliers and prepare baseline schedules with resources, costs and narratives, supporting progress forecasts and rolling programmes.

The role requires 3–5 years of planning experience on large building projects, proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project, and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering recognized by PE BCA or Singapore authorities.
• Good understanding of construction industry practices to perform planning and scheduling.
• 3–5 years’ experience on projects valued over $100 million with planning/scheduling for building works.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• 4D BIM knowledge is an added advantage.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules in consultation with the project team
• Coordinate and obtain inputs from project team, contractors and suppliers to support the development of project programmes
• Prepare baseline schedule which includes resources, cost loadings, S-curves, Programme Narratives, and scope appreciation presentation
• Work on progress forecasts and prepare rolling programmes
• Prepare weekly & monthly report to update, track and report project progress against planned schedule
• Prepare & develop micro-programme for specific trades for site planning & coordination
• Monitor and control progress to make sure that turnover and cost is in line with master construction program
• Monitor timely submission of drawings & materials with approvals
• Monitor project orders and deliveries are in accordance with agreed schedules
• Carry out in the overall interfacing and coordination works aligning to the baseline schedule with respective discipline in charge
• Prepare & develop claimable EOT as per contractual clauses with commercial team with potential new catch-up programmes
  

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering recognized by Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore or Building and Construction Authority (BCA)
• Good understanding of construction industry practices and standards to perform planning and scheduling
• At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in projects valued at more than $100millions with hands on experience doing planning and scheduling for building projects with external works
• Proficient in planning software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Experience in LTA programme preparation, programme requirements and submissions will be an added advantage
• Candidate with 4D BIM knowledge will have an added advantage
• Highly motivated, self-driven with initiatives to work independently to produce programmes, narrative and histograms
• Meticulous, eye for details and a good team player
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• This is a site-based position.
