Job summary

TIONG SENG CIVIL ENGINEERING (PRIVATE) LIMITED is seeking a Senior Planner/Scheduler to develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects in Singapore. You will provide technical inputs, optimize methodologies, and mentor junior staff.

Role requires strong proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and BIM software, with 8–10 years of planning experience in main contractor environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8–10 years of planning/technical experience within Singapore’s construction industry with a main contractor.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and BIM software (Revit/Navisworks).
• Strong knowledge of BCA regulations, construction methodologies, and authority submission processes.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Job Summary

You will develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, monitor project progress, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant project delivery. You will also provide technical support, optimize construction methodologies, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project aligned with project requirements
• Monitor project progress to identify potential delays and recommend effective mitigation measures
• Conduct critical path analysis and resource planning to optimize project timelines and resource allocation
• Prepare and present progress reports to management and stakeholders for informed decision-making
• Review and analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to assess constructability and identify issues
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical discrepancies promptly
• Ensure compliance with BCA regulations, building codes, and authority submission requirements throughout project lifecycle
• Manage design changes, Requests for Information (RFIs), and shop drawing approval processes efficiently
• Propose and implement efficient construction methodologies to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness
• Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize design and construction processes for better outcomes
• Provide technical inputs and construction sequencing support during tender submissions to improve bid quality
• Identify potential risks in schedules and technical aspects, proposing practical solutions to mitigate them
• Collaborate closely with project teams to address site constraints, logistical challenges, and delays proactively
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with the master schedule
• Mentor and guide junior planners and engineers in best planning practices to build team capability

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in planning and technical roles within Singapore’s construction industry with a main contractor
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and BIM software (Revit/Navisworks)
• Strong knowledge of BCA regulations, construction methodologies, and authority submission processes
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Certified PMP, CCT (Certified Construction Manager), or equivalent certification
