The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or CPTC, with outpatient pharmacy experience; clinic exposure is a strong advantage

Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or CPTC certification.
• Pharmacy Technician experience in outpatient pharmacy settings.
• Any clinic experience will be a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process medication orders/prescriptions for inpatient and outpatient.
• Picking, packing and labelling in accordance with SOPs.
• Perform billing functions.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the pharmacy and ward areas where drugs are stored.
• Ensure stocks are stocked up properly and tidily according to FEFO and storage conditions.
• Perform topping up of omnicell ward stock in the wards.
• Ensure correct receiving of goods.
• Secondary repackaging/redressing.
• Carry out cycle counts and stock takes periodically according to SOPs.
• Dispense medications to patients in accordance with policies and SOPs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process medication orders/prescriptions for both inpatient and outpatient


• Picking, packing and labelling in accordance with stipulated policies, guidelines and department standard operating procedures


• Perform billing functions


• Maintain the cleanliness of the pharmacy and ward areas where drugs are stored


• Ensure stocks are stocked up properly and tidily according to First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) requirement and stipulated storage condition


• Perform topping up of omnicell ward stock in the respective wards


• Ensure correct receiving of goods


• Secondary repackaging/redressing


• Carry out cycle counts and stock takes periodically according to SOPs


• Dispensing of medications to patients in accordance with stipulated policies, guidelines and department standard operating procedures

Requirements:

• Possess Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science OR Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC)


• Pharmacy Technician experience in outpatient pharmacy settings
