Job summary

JonDavidson Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior PCB / Electronics Repair Engineer to strengthen our refurbishment team. You will diagnose, repair, and rebuild mid-complexity analogue and digital PCBs and power supplies, and help set up the repair lab with the latest diagnostic tools.

You will lead fault-finding to component level, use PCB design and simulation software, and mentor graduate technicians while coordinating with external vendors for complex reverse engineering tasks.

Qualifications

• Fault-finding to component level with diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency with PCB design software and simulators.
• Reverse engineering of small PCBs or managing external vendors.
• Good soldering and component replacement capabilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Repair mid-complexity analogue and digital PCBs and power supplies.
• Set-up electronics repair lab and select latest diagnostic equipment.
• Track and document repairs, diagnostics techniques and learning.
• Set-up and manage long-lead-time components stock.

About the role

We are seeking to recruit a Senior PCB / Electronics Repair Engineer to complement our Singapore teams machine refurbishment capabilities. Working within a small, capable and inclusive team, the employee can be assured to work in a rewarding yet low-pressure environment with wide flexibility to their personal needs.

Key responsibilities

• Repair mid-complexity analogue and digital PCB's and power supplies
• Set-up of electronics repair lab and selection of latest diagnostic equipment
• Set-up and use of software to track & document repairs, common faults, diagnostics techniques and ensure all learning is retained
• Set-up and management of long-lead-time key components to be stocked
• Re-building of electronic & cable assemblies
• Lead project to develop block or circuit diagrams for PCB's (internally or using outside source)
• Training of graduate technicians over time

About you

• Experience fault-finding to component level & use of related diagnostic equipment
• Capable of using design PCB software and electronics simulator software
• Reverse engineering of small control / digital PCB's (or project managing outside vendor)
• Good soldering and component replacement capabilities
• Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised
