Job summary

VIOLET OON INC PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an experienced pastry chef to lead creation, decoration, and presentation of desserts in accordance with Violet Oon Singapore’s standards. You will oversee ordering ingredients, monitor stock, ensure quality of materials and equipment, and guide pastry assistants and bakers to maintain a lean, safe, and efficient kitchen.

Qualifications

• Diploma required in hospitality or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in F&B service.
• Fluent English required.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Create, decorate and present cakes and pastries to Violet Oon Singapore’s standards.
• Order ingredients and supplies for pastry production.
• Decorate pastries with icings and toppings for attractive presentation.
• Monitor stock of baking ingredients and place orders within budget.
• Check quality of materials and condition of cooking equipment.
• Guide and motivate pastry staff to work efficiently.
• Maintain a lean, safe, and orderly cooking station.
• Manage and supervise kitchen staff and activities.
• Report to Chef De Cuisine on operations.
• Be physically involved in all daily operation phases.
• Ensure efficiency and profitability within budget.
• Attend weekly meetings with Chef De Cuisine to discuss plans.
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
• Update menu recipe cards and plan menus for promotions.
• Adhere to management rules and regulations.
• Ensure adequate stock at relevant station.
