Job summary

Public Service Division seeks a Senior Database Administrator to lead Oracle 19c migrations to GCC on AWS/Azure, with end-to-end lifecycle management from installation to DR. You will design replication, perform upgrades, and ensure performance and security across cloud and on-prem environments.

The role requires 7+ years of Oracle DB experience, Linux administration, and scripting in Shell or Python to automate tasks. Collaboration with cloud, infrastructure, and application teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 7+ years of Oracle Database design, implementation and administration in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle 19c administration, upgrades, patching and security.
• Proven experience migrating Oracle databases to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure GCC).
• Expertise in Oracle HA/DR tech: GoldenGate, Data Guard, RMAN, ZDM.
• Familiarity with Oracle AI Database technologies (26ai, APEX).
• Proficiency in Shell/Python scripting for automation.
• Strong collaboration across application, infra and cloud teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Oracle DB migrations to GCC on AWS or Azure with minimal business disruption.
• Design and maintain replication between on-premises and cloud.
• Plan installations, configurations, upgrades, and lifecycle management for Oracle DB.
• Perform proactive DB administration: tuning, capacity planning, health monitoring.
• Implement and maintain backup, HA, and DR solutions.
• Apply patches and security updates per policy; ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with vendors and DevOps teams on deployments and migrations.
• Troubleshoot complex DB/infrastructure issues and document solutions.
