Key Responsibilities
Manage and administer Oracle databases (versions 12c, 19c, and newer) in production and development environments.
Perform advanced database performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
Design and implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and backup strategies (RMAN, Data Guard).
Automate routine database tasks using PL/SQL, Shell scripting, or Ansible.
Apply patches, perform upgrades/migrations (on-prem and cloud), and manage version control.
Implement and enforce database security, roles, and user access controls.
Monitor database health and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Provide L3 support for escalated incidents and lead root cause analysis.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support application and system integration.
Participate in on-call rotation and support weekend deployments when necessary.
Document architecture, configurations, and procedures for audit and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
6 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience with at least 3 years in a senior/L3 role.
Expertise in Oracle, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
Strong knowledge of Oracle internals, performance diagnostics (AWR, ASH, TKPROF), and troubleshooting tools.
Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS RDS for Oracle, or Azure Database for Oracle).
Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident/change/problem management.
Scripting experience (Shell, Python, or similar) for automation and monitoring.
