Job summary

Lumilens in Singapore seeks an experienced Optical Transceiver Product Engineer to drive manufacturing readiness and product execution across the lifecycle, collaborating with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality, yield, reliability and cost targets.

You will lead NPI, product transfers, BOM accuracy, and continuous improvement for 800G and 1.6T platforms, with hands-on optical assembly and DFMs, supported by data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field with 7+ years in high-volume optical transceiver manufacturing.
• Experience with NPI and product/manufacturing transfers at contract manufacturing sites.
• Strong root cause analysis, SPC, and data-driven problem solving.
• Experience with optics FA processes and tools; able to work across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support NPI and product transfer, including qualification and ramp at new contract manufacturers.
• Own end-to-end manufacturing changes under change control per QMS requirements.
• Be the lead contact for yield, quality, and reliability; deliver products to customers.
• Maintain accurate manufacturing BOM and drive cost, productivity, and quality improvement.
• Develop and execute continuous improvement plans to improve yield, cycle time, throughput, and scrap.
• Track test results and ensure specification compliance.
• Lead debug and root cause analyses for yield excursions, failures, and returns; implement corrective actions.
• Own product documentation and specifications; collaborate on qualification testing.
• Collaborate to ensure DFM guidelines are met and prepare reports on trends.
