Job summary

Skills & Workforce Development Agency (SWDA) in Singapore is seeking a Principal Manager to lead a team of managers and oversee the operations of SWDA’s programmes such as SkillsFuture Credit and other funding initiatives. You will report to the Assistant Director and ensure efficient grant administration and policy alignment.

You will drive customer-centric processes, collaborate with internal and external partners, and monitor performance with KPIs while mentoring your team to deliver

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of relevant work experience in operations, programme or project management.
• Strong people management skill, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong customer service attitude.
• Strong in analysis, communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal, process and project management skills.
• Able to multi-task, work independently and perform well under pressure and tight timelines.
• Team lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Managers and oversee operations management of SWDA's programmes.
• Align operational processes with SWDA's funding policies and strategic intent.
• Develop and review operational policies to support programme implementation and grants management.
• Implement continuous improvements to enhance operational effectiveness while ensuring compliance and quality.
• Design and optimize customer journeys, streamline processes and manage appeals and enquiries.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and service providers to deliver shared services.
• Monitor performance with KPIs/SLAs and conduct risk assessments; coach and develop team members.
