Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Naval Architect to design and oversee the construction of ships and marine structures, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

The role requires applying hydrodynamics, materials science and engineering principles to develop efficient designs. You will use CAD tools (AutoCAD, Rhino, ShipConstructor) and coordinate with engineers, project managers and clients across sites, with travel to project locations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional licensure or certification as a Naval Architect is preferred.
• Proven experience in ship design, marine engineering, or a related field, typically 3-5 years.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, ShipConstructor) and engineering simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Develop detailed designs and plans for new ships, boats, and marine structures using CAD software and other design tools.
• Project Management: Oversee the construction process, including coordinating with engineers, builders, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Technical Analysis: Perform structural, stability, and performance analyses of ship designs.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet applicable safety and environmental regulations, including class society requirements.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Innovation and Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in shipbuilding technology and materials.
