PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced senior software leader to drive native Android development and backend services for aviation digital platforms.

You will own architecture, mentoring, and standards while delivering passenger-focused features like flight search, booking, check-in, and mobile boarding passes. You will design scalable backend services, implement secure payment flows, and deploy on AWS with monitoring and CI/CD.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience and at least 3 years in technical leadership.
• Strong native Android development in Kotlin/Java, MVVM/MVP, Clean Architecture, and automated testing.

Job Description

• Lead design and development of native Androidfeatures in Kotlin/Java, using MVVM or a similar clean architecture.
• Build passenger-facing features such as flightsearch and booking, manage booking, check-in, mobile boarding pass, flightstatus and notifications.
• Design and build backend microservices andREST APIs with Spring Boot and/or Node.js, integrating with airline systems andthird-party providers.
• Design and build secure payment flows withinthe app, covering credit/debit cards and digital wallets (Google Pay / ApplePay), including authorisation, refunds and handling failed or partialtransactions.
• Deploy and run services on AWS (Lambda, EC2,S3, SNS, CloudWatch), with attention to availability, latency and cost.
• Design database schemas and tune queries(MySQL, DynamoDB).
• Set up and improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins,Gradle/Maven) and production monitoring (Splunk, CloudWatch).
• Run architecture and code reviews, mentordevelopers, and set engineering standards (TDD, unit and integration testing).
• Work with client stakeholders and offshoreteams on requirements, releases, incidents and production support.
• Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHubCopilot) responsibly and validate their output.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with 10+ years of software development experience and at least 3 years in technical leadership, preferably in airline or aviation digital platforms.
• Strong native Android development in Kotlin/Java, MVVM/MVP, Clean Architecture, and automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso.
• Hands-on backend development with Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js, including REST APIs, microservices, MySQL optimisation, DynamoDB, and event-driven architecture.
• Production experience with AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, SNS, CloudWatch, CI/CD using Jenkins and Git, and monitoring with Splunk or equivalent tools.
• Proven experience building secure, scalable payment integrations for cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay, covering authorisation, refunds, transaction reconciliation, and failure recovery.
• Strong technical leadership, architecture reviews, Agile delivery, and client/offshore collaboration; airline systems integration, PCI DSS, IATA NDC, and AI-assisted development experience are advantageous.
