Job summary

GovTech in Singapore is seeking an experienced Senior/Staff Mobile Engineer to lead the PG mobile app for the next generation of Parents Gateway. You will define architecture, establish reusable foundations, and guide the team through design and implementation to deliver high-quality, scalable mobile experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong professional software engineering experience with production mobile apps.
• Proficiency in modern mobile development (React Native, iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the PG mobile app as the parent-facing experience of the new Parents Gateway.
• Shape mobile architecture, data flows, and native integrations for performance and maintainability.
• Establish reusable foundations and engineering patterns for scalable capabilities.
• Drive improvements in startup time, responsiveness, stability, and crash rates across devices.
• Strengthen automated testing, pipelines, release processes, and observability for safe releases.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction through code/design reviews.
