Allianz Insurance Singapore is seeking an Underwriting Lead, MidCorp to drive profitable MidCorp growth through strong underwriting operations, policy lifecycle management, and stakeholder collaboration. You will oversee risk assessment, documentation, governance, and service delivery, coordinating with brokers, onshore and offshore teams to optimize portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Degree holder in any related field
• Prior experience working in an insurance/reinsurance company preferred
• Knowledge of commercial lines of business preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel
• Effective communication skills
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and to see work through to completion with minimal supervision
• Pro‑active and “can-do” attitude
• Willingness to learn
• AI‑Skills e.g. ChatGPT and Microsoft CoPilot an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Lead pre-binding underwriting activities for MidCorp growth.
• Assist underwriters with risk assessment, quotes, renewals.
• Ensure completeness and quality of underwriting information.
• Coordinate sanctions screening, accumulation checks, and docs.
• Consolidate claims experience to support decisions.
• Maintain underwriting records and pipelines.
• Support Facultative reinsurance placement docs.
• Coordinate policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, certificates.
• Monitor actions and servicing requests to meet timelines.
• Maintain policy records and document repositories.
• Coordinate with brokers, sales, finance on servicing matters.
• Support premium booking and reconciliation.
• Uphold governance, compliance, and quality controls.
• Perform QA reviews on underwriting activities.
• Ensure compliance with guidelines and controls.
• Support audits and remediation activities.
• Establish workflows and service controls.
• Build relations with sales, underwriters and partners.
• Provide timely responses to underwriting issues.
• Coordinate onshore/offshore service delivery.
• Support knowledge sharing and training.
• Produce weekly/monthly/ad-hoc portfolio reports.
• Analyse premiums, retention, and workflow metrics for improvements.
• Support projects and system enhancements.
