Job summary

Allianz Insurance Singapore invites applications for the Underwriting Lead, MidCorp. The role drives profitable portfolio growth through leadership of underwriting operations, policy lifecycle management, and coordination with brokers and internal teams.

You will oversee risk assessment, quotation review, renewal evaluation, and ensure quality controls, governance and service delivery. A diploma/degree holder with insurance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Degree holder in any related field.
• Prior experience in insurance/reinsurance preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial lines of business preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting operations and risk assessment.
• Coordinate pre-binding activities including sanctions screening and accumulation checks.
• Prepare quotations, review submissions, and renewal evaluations.
• Maintain underwriting records, opportunity pipelines and renewal listings.
• Collaborate with brokers, producers, sales channels, finance teams and internal stakeholders.
• Support portfolio reporting, analytics and continuous improvement initiatives.
