Job summary

L&K Engineering (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. Singapore Branch is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to oversee and drive quality control across construction projects.

You will lead QC planning, on-site testing, and regulatory compliance, ensuring materials, workmanship and installations meet ISO and industry standards. The role requires a Bachelor's or Diploma in a related field, 8+ years in QA/QC with 3+ years in management, and strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in related field is required.
• Minimum 8 years in QA/QC in construction/engineering with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of ISO, ASTM and related standards.
• Hands-on commissioning and QC testing experience.
• Proven leadership and mentoring ability.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute QC plan implementation across the project in line with specifications and standards.
• Conduct on-site inspections and tests to assess materials, workmanship and installations.
• Ensure QA procedures are applied from pre-construction through final acceptance.
• Lead QC activities and ensure testing aligns with project specs and regulations.
• Perform site inspections, identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver regular QC training to team members on quality standards and safety.
• Document non-conformances and drive timely corrective actions.
• Serve as primary contact for quality-related issues with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to uphold quality and resolve questions.
• Provide guidance on best QC practices and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead efforts towards ISO certifications and quality awards.

Job description

• Location: Woodland
• Working Hours: 5 days per week (Mon to Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Willingness to commit to extended hours if required

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute the implementation of Quality Control (QC) plans, ensuring that all phases of the project adhere to company policies, contractual specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct on-site inspections and tests to evaluate the quality of materials, workmanship, and installations
• Ensure quality assurance (QA) procedures are applied during all phases of the project (from pre-construction through to final acceptance)
• Lead the execution of quality checks (QC) and ensure that the testing process is carried out in line with project specifications and regulations
• Perform site inspections, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions to ensure that quality standards are met
• Conduct regular training sessions and ensure that QC team members are knowledgeable about quality standards, project-specific requirements, and safety protocols
• Identify and document non-conformances or quality issues and ensure that corrective actions are implemented promptly
• Act as a primary point of contact for resolving quality-related issues, both on-site and with stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruption to project schedules
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality standards are adhered to and resolve any quality-related concerns or questions
• Provide guidance on best practices for quality control, working to improve processes and performance on-site
• Lead efforts to achieve ISO certifications and other quality-related awards, showcasing the company’s commitment to excellence in quality control and continuous improvement
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control within the construction or engineering industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, ASTM, etc.)
• Hands-on experience in commissioning and quality control testing (e.g., materials testing, site inspections)
• Leadership experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a team effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address quality issues on-site in real-time
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
