Job summary

Hexacon Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead site quality assurance, defect rectification and maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with contractual, CONQUAS and company standards. Qualifications

• Education in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of QA/QC and maintenance on building projects.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Familiarity with CONQUAS / Quality Mark/ISO 9001 and defect-management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead site QA/QC and maintenance activities per project specifications and client requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain project QA/QC systems (PQP, inspection & test plans, checklists, audits, NCR process).
• Oversee defect management, root-cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, clients, consultants and authorities on quality issues; ensure timely rectification and warranties.
• Prepare and present quality, CONQUAS and maintenance reports for senior management and client submissions.
• Lead and develop QAQC and maintenance team; drive training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

The QAQC Manager leads site quality assurance, defect-rectification and maintenance operations to deliver project works that meet contractual, CONQUAS and company quality standards while minimizing rework and post-handover cost.

• Develop, implement and maintain project QA/QC systems (inspection & test plans, checklists, audits, NCR process) and the Project Quality Plan (PQP) based on project specifications; drive CONQUAS / Quality Mark readiness across projects
• Lead defect management and root-cause investigations; coordinate corrective & preventive actions, enforce warranties and ensure timely rectification through the maintenance teams
• Oversee maintenance operations during DLP and post-handover periods: prioritize requests, manage subcontractors, control costs and ensure workmanship standards
• Manage regular site quality audits and inspections; review workmanship across structural, architectural and M&E scopes and verify materials/testing with third-party labs and review Method Statements, ITPs and trade checklists prior to submission to Consultants
• Prepare and present quality, CONQUAS and maintenance reports (metrics, trend analyses, NCR logs, cost & response KPIs) for senior management and client submissions
• Liaise with project teams, clients, consultants and authorities (e.g., BCA) on quality issues, assessments and pre-inspection coordination; represent the Company on quality matters
• Design and deliver targeted training and capability programs for site teams and subcontractors; embed lessons-learned and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce repeat defects
• Lead and develop the QAQC & maintenance team; set standards, allocate resources, implement quality governance and drive data discipline across records and handovers

Job Requirements

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or construction-related field
• Experience: Minimum 8 years’ progressive QA/QC and maintenance experience on building projects, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role; exposure to CONQUAS/Quality Mark processes preferred
• CONQUAS / ISO 9001 familiarity and demonstrable defect-management experience
• Knowledge of CONQUAS / Quality Mark criteria, inspection & test planning and NCR management
• Experience managing defect rectification programs, maintenance budgets and subcontractor delivery
