Job summary

A*STAR invites a Manager/Senior Manager to lead ecosystem development within BMSIPO, accelerating public-private R&D partnerships in healthcare and biomedical sciences. You will shape national initiatives, organize cross-institutional collaboration, and craft strategic proposals for competitive funding.

The role emphasizes stakeholder management, program leadership, and driving impactful health tech collaborations across Singapore’s research and clinical landscape.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Healthcare and Biomedical Sciences with a background in research, clinical development, product development or technology commercialization.
• Ability to handle diverse technical topics beyond one’s direct field and quickly assess new technologies for business contexts.
• Resourcefulness and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional matrix.
• Ability to analyse topics, make considered judgements and recommendations.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter, go-getter and problem solver who pro-actively tackles problems.
• Ability to identify and contextualize stakeholder issues and manage them appropriately.
• Willing and flexible to take on tasks beyond the job description.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and Drive National-level Initiatives for the HHP RIE Domain, including biotech/medtech ecosystem development and multi-institutional collaborations.
• Level up collaboration and best practice sharing among Public Sector R&D & Clinical Institutions via workshops and sessions.
• Shape R&D & Clinical Research Project Proposals to seek competitive grant funding and strategic program structuring.
• Drive Industry Development for national multi-institutional R&D programmes, engaging industry partners and negotiating project agreements.
