• Experience leading mechanical design teams in product development lifecycles.

• Knowledge of manufacturability considerations for machining, casting, plastics/injection molding and sheet metal.
• Familiarity with optomechanical, electromechanical mechanisms and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead a mechanical/Industrial Design team and ensure adequate resources to projects.
• Guide team on mechanical architecture and coordinate with design center on finalizing industrial design.
• Execute/Review/Approve detailed design using 3D CAD and 2D drawings.
• Ensure design integrates into overall mechanical architecture and design robustness.
• Provide coaching to juniors and support cost reduction initiatives with vendors.
