Responsibilities

• Designing Mechanical Systems: design and develop mechanical systems and products, conceptualize, model, and detail designs for components or entire systems.
• Analyzing and Testing Designs: perform analytical and computational assessments to meet requirements, safety, and regulatory guidelines; conduct physical testing and prototyping.
• Project Management: oversee the product development lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Materials Selection: choose materials considering strength, durability, cost, and environmental impact of choices.
• Thermal and Fluid Systems: design thermal and fluid systems, optimize heat transfer, fluid flow, and energy efficiency in engines, cooling, and HVAC.
• CAD Modeling and Drafting: use CAD software to create 3D models and detailed drawings for components and assemblies.
• Manufacturing Support: work with manufacturing teams to ensure producibility, processes, tooling, and quality control.
• Quality Assurance and Control: develop and implement QC procedures, inspections, and address product quality issues.
• Research and Development: engage in R&D to explore new technologies, materials, and methodologies.
• Regulatory Compliance: ensure designs meet industry standards, codes, and safety/environmental requirements.
• Collaboration and Communication: collaborate with cross-functional teams, present designs, and communicate with clients, vendors, and regulators.
