Job summary

ONE SEVEN CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior Mechanical & Piping Engineer to lead mechanical and piping activities throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to handover.

You will plan and review deliverables, oversee equipment packages, coordinate with clients and vendors, and ensure compliance with international codes and project specs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of relevant mechanical and piping engineering experience, preferably in offshore, marine, heavy engineering or related industrial sectors.
• Experience in mechanical equipment design, equipment package engineering and technical specification development.
• Strong knowledge of piping design, layout, material selection and piping stress considerations.
• Familiarity with mechanical equipment and systems including pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, HVAC and utility systems.
• Experience in vendor management, technical bid evaluations, equipment procurement support and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
• Understanding of offshore and marine engineering systems, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning practices.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO and marine/offshore regulations.
• Knowledge of classification requirements, statutory compliance and offshore safety standards.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, communication and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee mechanical and piping engineering activities across the project lifecycle.
• Plan, coordinate and review engineering deliverables including specs, datasheets, calculations and drawings.
• Oversee mechanical equipment selection and piping system design for offshore, marine and industrial applications.
• Develop technical specifications and scope of work for equipment packages.
• Manage vendor evaluations, bid clarifications and technical documentation reviews.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers and authorities.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards and project requirements.
• Support tendering, technical studies and project scheduling.
• Manage resources, schedules, budgets and technical risks; participate in reviews and commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and designers.
• Support site surveys, inspections and handover, driving continuous improvement in engineering practices.
