Job summary

Seatrium Limited is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to lead piping design activities for offshore and shipyard projects. You will supervise a team, review 3D models, and ensure drawings meet construction and field requirements, coordinating across disciplines to deliver integrated piping solutions.

The role requires extensive experience in piping engineering, familiarity with international codes, and proficiency in CAD/3D tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 8 years of piping engineering experience, offshore or shipyard preferred.
Experience in FPSO projects (topsides and marine) highly desirable.
Strong piping design, planning, and engineering workflows.
Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, API, and classification society rules.
Proficient in Excel; 2D drafting tools (AutoCAD); 3D model review (Navisworks).
Knowledge of 3D modeling apps such as SmartPlant, AVEVA, Cadmatic.

Responsibilities

Support the Piping Lead Engineer by executing tasks with minimal supervision.
Lead a team of piping engineers or supervise external design houses.
Review piping design progress to align with schedules and specs.
Ensure isometric, spool, and piping drawings meet construction and field needs.
Collaborate with stress, routing and support design teams for integrated solutions.
Coordinate with vendors, procurement, and commissioning activities.
Review layouts, isometrics, support drawings, and calculations.
Evaluate vendor proposals and documentation (e.g., VCDs).
Prepare technical queries (TQF) and EVOs; manage revisions and surplus materials.
Maintain design database completeness for digital engineering requirements.
