Job summary

Michael Page Singapore seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead product transfer and manufacturing readiness across new and existing products. You will drive reliability, quality improvements, and cost-performance initiatives while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in relevant roles, strong GD&T and DFMA knowledge, and proficiency with CAD/PLM systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in Product, Manufacturing, NPI, Sustaining, or Mechanical Engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFMA.
• Experience supporting product transfer, manufacturing operations, and engineering change management processes.
• Understanding of reliability engineering, validation activities, and structured problem-solving methodologies (FMEA, DOE, 8D).
• Proficiency with CAD and PLM systems.
• Experience analysing engineering data and applying statistical methods to identify opportunities for process and product improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead product transfer and manufacturing readiness activities for new and existing products.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, reliability, yield, and cost performance.
• Support mechanical design enhancements including structural components, mechanisms, thermal management, and manufacturability improvements.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for complex technical issues.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, validation reports, change controls, and product lifecycle records.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and design teams to ensure successful product deployment and operational performance.
• Mentor junior engineers while promoting engineering best practices, data-driven decision making, and operational excellence.
