Job summary

MICHAEL PAGE (PERSONNEL) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years in product or manufacturing engineering to drive product transfer and readiness across development and high-volume production.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure robust deployment and lifecycle excellence. The role emphasizes DFMA, GD&T, and data-driven problem solving, with mentoring of junior engineers and hands-on involvement in continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in Product/Manufacturing/NPI/Mechanical Engineering roles.
• Experience with product transfer, manufacturing operations and change control.
• Proficiency in CAD and PLM systems; strong problem-solving and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead product transfer and manufacturing readiness activities for new and existing products.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, reliability, yield, and cost performance.
• Support mechanical design enhancements including structural components, mechanisms, thermal management, and manufacturability improvements.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for complex technical issues.

The Successful Applicant

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, NPI, Sustaining Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, mechanisms, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
• Experience supporting product transfer, manufacturing operations, and engineering change management processes.
• Understanding of reliability engineering, validation activities, and structured problem-solving methodologies such as FMEA, DOE, and 8D.
• Proficiency with CAD and PLM systems.
• Experience analysing engineering data and applying statistical methods to identify opportunities for process and product improvements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
