Job summary

PUB, The National Water Agency, invites a Mechanical Engineer to oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, tendering and asset management across water works sites. You will coordinate with project teams, contracts and contractors to ensure reliable operation and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance leadership, independent work ethic, and strong teamwork to support PUB’s national water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Candidates with relevant experience are preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and driven.
• Work well independently and also a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute maintenance activities on mechanical equipment to ensure reliability and compliance with required standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment and system malfunctions on site and develop corrective action plans.
• Plan, design and call tenders for mechanical equipment maintenance, replacement, upgrading and capex projects.
• Manage and implement contracts to ensure contractor work meets objectives and budget.
• Manage mechanical assets and spare parts inventory using PUB's Asset Management System (AMS).

Education

Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Relevant experience preferred
