Job summary

PUB, The National Water Agency in Singapore is seeking a Senior/Assistant Engineer (Electrical) to oversee electrical maintenance and projects at the Ulu Pandan Water Reclamation Plant. You will coordinate contractors, plan shutdowns, prepare specifications and cost estimates, and drive MEICA maintenance schedules.

The role requires a Diploma in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, 2 years of relevant experience, proficiency in MS Office, and readiness for after-hours emergency calls in a

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics and Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering diploma.
• Two years of relevant working experience related to maintenance of electrical equipment is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Able to work in a used water treatment environment and physically able to perform site works.
• Officer will be based at Ulu Pandan Water Reclamation Plant.
• Ability to attend to emergency calls or activation back to the plant after office hours for work exigencies.
• Work reporting timing: 8am to 5:30pm (Mon-Thurs) and 5pm (Fri).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise contractors performing electrical works such as overhauling, repairs, servicing of motors, switchboards, transformers, starter panels and other HT/LT electrical equipment.
• Plan, coordinate and perform shut down of switchboards or other electrical equipment for servicing/maintenance/repair; troubleshoot faults and recommend repairs.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications, scope of works and cost estimates for term maintenance contracts, and/or other ad hoc maintenance or repair works.
• Assist in preparing and updating MEICA maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
• Carry out plant improvement and development projects.
• Assist in budgetary planning of funds (OPEX and CAPEX) for each financial year related to electrical systems and other projects.
• Perform procurement roles on WOG ACE and AMS systems to raise POs/WOs, job cards and job plans; generate GRNs and Completion Certificates for services rendered; supervise and verify site work and payments.

• Ensure compliance to safety requirements for all works, including but not limited to – putting up NTW/PTW permits, conduct toolbox meeting and RA briefing, conduct safety inspections, prepare/reviewRisk Assessment (RA)andSafe Work Procedure (SWP).

What we are looking for:

• Able to work in used water treatment environment and physically able to perform site works.
• Officer will be based at Ulu Pandan Water Reclamation Plant.
• Abilityto attend to emergency calls or activation back to plant after office hours for work exigencies
