Job summary

PUB Public Utilities Board in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to plan maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and oversee related contracts at Chestnut Ave Waterworks or Tuas Desalination Plant.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, good communication, independence and teamwork, and the ability to manage assets and spare parts using PUB's Asset Management System (AMS).

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Candidates with relevant experience are preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and driven
• Work well independently and also a good team player

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute maintenance activities on mechanical equipment to ensure reliability and compliance with statutory requirements
• Troubleshoot equipment and system malfunctions on site and develop corrective action plans
• Plan, design and call tenders related to mechanical equipment maintenance, replacement, upgrading, and system enhancement capex projects
• Manage and implement contracts related to mechanical equipment to ensure works by contractors meet objectives and budget
• Effectively manage mechanical equipment assets and spare parts inventory using the Asset Management System (AMS) implemented by PUB
