Job summary

SEAGATE SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL HEADQUARTERS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Automation leader to drive full lifecycle development of automated manufacturing equipment for drive assembly, test, and inspection systems.

You will define requirements, develop layouts, and oversee verification while coordinating across electrical, controls, software, and process teams. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in mechanical design or automation equipment, strong analysis and communication

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Lead full lifecycle mechanical development from concept to production handoff.
Define system and subsystem requirements, interfaces, and risk controls.
Develop and review machine layouts, precision mechanisms, structures, motion systems, tooling and guarding.
Perform design verification activities, calculations, simulations, and tolerance analyses.
Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and configuration-change decisions.
Coordinate mechanical activities across electrical, controls, software, process, manufacturing, quality, safety, and supplier teams.
Mentor junior engineers and promote disciplined engineering methods.
