Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 8 years of experience designing and testing electro‑mechanical, pneumatic and fluid systems.
• Experience with prototyping tools and techniques.
• Experience with modeling CAD software such as SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automated systems with electromechanical components (servos, pneumatics, sensors, drive components).
• Oversee full product lifecycle from requirements to production-launch of systems.
• Serve as primary technical contact to science, software, and operations teams to resolve engineering issues.
• Design and iterate with real-world users and test prototypes to verify design specs.
• Perform engineering calculations and layouts using CAD, FMEA, and DFA.
