Senior &E Coordinator
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior M&E Coordinator to oversee and coordinate Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works across construction projects. The role will work closely with the Project Manager, Consultants, Main Contractors, M&E subcontractors and site teams to ensure M&E works are properly coordinated, planned and completed according to project requirements, specifications and schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all M&E works on site, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and other building services.
- Coordinate M&E works with architectural, structural and civil works to ensure proper sequencing and minimise site clashes.
- Review M&E drawings, shop drawings, specifications and technical submissions, and identify discrepancies or coordination issues.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on technical matters, site requirements and work progress.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor M&E installation quality, progress and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate M&E services routing, builders' work requirements, openings, sleeves, risers and plant rooms with the relevant trades.
- Attend site coordination meetings and provide updates on M&E progress, outstanding issues and required actions.
- Monitor M&E subcontractors' work progress and ensure works are completed according to project schedule.
- Assist in resolving technical issues, site constraints, clashes and installation problems in a timely manner.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspection and handover of M&E systems.
About you
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E coordination experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of building M&E services, construction coordination and site installation.
- Experience coordinating M&E subcontractors and multiple trades on construction projects.
- Good understanding of Singapore building regulations, codes and authority requirements.
- Able to read and interpret M&E drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiar with AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM/Revit and M&E coordination software will be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, coordination and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Good leadership and site management skills.
