Job summary

APP Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking an M&E Coordinator to support the coordination and execution of M&E works on construction projects in Singapore. You will work closely with the project team, consultants, subcontractors and interfacing trades to ensure works align with approved drawings, specifications and project schedules.

Requirements include a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services and 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate M&E works for Electrical, ACMV, Fire Protection, and PSG services according to project requirements.
• Coordinate M&E works with architectural, structural and other interfacing trades to ensure proper service routing, openings, access and installation requirements.
• Review M&E drawings, shop drawings and coordinated drawings to identify discrepancies, clashes and site constraints prior to installation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, BIM/Drafting teams, supervisors and subcontractors on work sequences, site requirements and installation activities.
• Monitor M&E installation progress and follow up on outstanding works, coordination issues and project requirements.
• Conduct site checks to ensure M&E installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and coordinated requirements.
• Coordinate service routes, openings, sleeves, penetrations, supports, equipment locations and maintenance access requirements with relevant parties.
• Liaise with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on M&E technical and site coordination matters.
• Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning activities with the relevant project parties.
• Support final testing, inspections, defect clearance and project handover activities.

About the role

The M&E Coordinator supports the coordination and execution of M&E works on construction projects, working closely with the project team, consultants, subcontractors and other interfacing trades to ensure works are properly coordinated and carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements and project schedules.

About you

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant working experience in a similar position, with relevant M&E coordination and installation knowledge preferred.
• Relevant project experience in at least one of the following M&E services: Electrical, Plumbing, Sanitary & Gas (PSG), ACMV or Fire Protection.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a practical and results-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a challenging and fast-paced construction environment.
