Job summary

Molex is seeking a Mechanical Design Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives for machine design, process development, and manufacturing improvements. You will design, qualify, and implement automated assembly equipment, fixtures, and solutions to boost productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.

You will manage projects from concept to production, validating and qualifying equipment and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years in machine design or automation.
• Experience with automation systems (robotics, motion control, vision).
• Proficiency in NX/SolidWorks/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop semi-automated and fully automated machines, fixtures, and assembly solutions.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation (3D/2D drawings, BOMs, machine sequences).
• Lead design reviews and provide technical support during fabrication and assembly.
