Job summary

StarHub seeks a Senior Matrixx DevOps Engineer to own end-to-end cloud-native development and operations for microservices built with Java and Spring Boot. You will design, develop, test, and optimize services while ensuring security, scalability, and resilience.

Responsibilities include managing OpenShift/Kubernetes deployments, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins; working with relational and NoSQL databases; and contributing to architecture, incident response, and on-call rotations within

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of Java enterprise development with Spring Boot.
Strong understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and patterns.
Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift deployment and orchestration.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Familiar with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tooling.
Combined experience in DevOps, SRE, or software engineering.
Linux, networking basics, and shell scripting.
Agile mindset with Scrum experience.
Excellent communication and collaboration

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
Implement RESTful APIs and ensure security, performance, and reliability.
Manage OpenShift/Kubernetes deployments, Dockerfiles, and resource configurations.
Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) for automated build, test, and deployment.
Architect data persistence with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging as needed.
Review code, maintain quality, and create technical runbooks and docs.
Participate in on-call rotations and incident resolution with minimal supervision.
Collaborate across teams to align architecture with best practices and security.
