Rio Tinto is seeking a Senior Market Analyst to join our Market Analysis team in Singapore. You will help shape our understanding of procurement, macroeconomic risks and commodity markets by building models used to deliver high-quality analysis and forecasts that support commercial decisions.

You will develop and maintain market insights across macroeconomics, supply and demand forecasts, and price forecasting, collaborating with global teams to drive value for Sales, Procurement and Logistics.

Qualifications

• University degree in a technical or commercial discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant commodity-focused experience.
• Proven research or analysis experience.
• Strong data analysis and numerical interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Deepen understanding of procurement and commodity markets with models.
• Deliver insights to improve trading, forecasting and negotiations.
• Advise on benchmarks to support procurement strategies.
• Develop and maintain market research using external and internal data.
• Forecast industrial performance with transparent methodologies.
• Collaborate with Market Analysis teams for cross-commodity insights.
