Rio Tinto Singapore Holdings Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Analyst - Market Analysis to join our Market Analysis team. You will help shape Rio Tinto’s understanding of procurement, macroeconomic risks and commodity markets by building and maintaining models used to deliver high-quality analysis, market intelligence and forecasts that support commercial decision-making.

The Market Analysis team sits within Rio Tinto’s Commercial Function and is responsible for generating short-to-medium-term market

Qualifications

University degree in either technical or commercial discipline.
3–5 years of experience within a commodity-focused MNC.
Demonstrable experience in a research or analysis role.
Ability to analyse data, identify trends and key market drivers.
High attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
Ability to synthesise quantitative and qualitative information into clear insights.
Excellent communication and ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; willingness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

Deepen and broaden understanding of procurement and market dynamics.
Deliver price forecasts, tools, models and scenarios to support commercial outcomes.
Advise on benchmarks and market-based reference points for negotiations.
Develop and maintain research using external and internal datasets.
Forecast industrial performance using robust methodologies.
Collaborate with Market Analysis teams to share best practices.
