Job summary

Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is seeking a skilled professional to drive manpower development strategies for Singapore's maritime sector. You will collaborate with the Innovation, Technology & Talent Development Division, engage with shipping companies and industry bodies, and work with local institutes to build a robust, future-ready workforce.

You will analyse manpower trends, formulate targeted programmes, and lead initiatives to attract and retain talent while advancing

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of working experience in managing manpower-related programmes.
Excellent communication (written and presentation) and problem-solving skills.
Able to structure issues, ideas and solutions clearly and concisely.
Resourceful, analytical and meticulous.
Good time management skills.
Able to take initiative and work independently, as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

Keep informed on latest Singapore national manpower policies and ensure alignment with maritime developments.
Provide analysis of maritime manpower landscape and present findings to management.
Monitor trends in maritime education and training and report updates to management.
Lead initiatives and projects impacting maritime manpower development in Singapore.
Collaborate with local institutes (ITE, polytechnics, universities) to align curricula with industry needs.
Identify and implement programmes with stakeholders to raise awareness of maritime careers.
