Job summary

Seatrium Ltd in Singapore seeks a Hull Process Engineer to develop and size systems for hulls and topsides, ensure NPSH verification and piping sizing, and create PFDs/UFDs. You will integrate safety requirements into design documents and liaise with vendors and other disciplines.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, with 5+ years in hull process engineering, preferably on FPSO/marine projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• At least 5 years of Hull Process engineering experience preferred.
• Experience in FPSO topsides & marine projects is advantageous.
• Experience in Offshore/Shipyard projects (Rig building/Ship building) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand contract and scope of work and extract requirements into a checklist.
• Follow up FEED, P&IDs developed by consultant.
• Perform equipment sizing for pump flow rate and pumping head with NPSH verification.
• Size piping lines and develop system UFD/PFD.
• Create System Process Data Sheet and Hull common systems design in P&ID.
• Incorporate safety study recommendations into P&IDs and related documents.
• Review vendor proposals and vendor certified documents for valves, PSVs, etc.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for process design information.
• Understand safety drawings and documents (Safety Plan, Area Classification, etc.).
• Carry out Hull Process related studies and prepare official reports.
• Support commissioning activities and troubleshoot system performance.
