Job summary

The National Arts Council (NAC) is seeking a strategic leader to shape and oversee grants and sector development in Singapore. You will formulate strategies, implement programmes, and provide oversight of NAC's grant schemes to strengthen the arts ecosystem locally and internationally.

You will mentor junior staff, drive innovation in programme delivery, and liaise with major stakeholders to advance Multiculturalism in Arts.

Qualifications

Experience with grants policy and programme design is essential.
Strong stakeholder engagement and senior communication skills.
Ability to analyse sector trends and inform policy decisions.

Responsibilities

Assess grant applications and provide robust recommendations aligned with criteria and priorities.
Review applications to detect inconsistencies/fraud and ensure policy compliance.
Engage with grant applicants/recipients to clarify requirements and deliverables.
Track awarded grants and verify project delivery and programme compliance.
Lead stakeholder engagement with major grant recipients and arts groups.
Provide strategic analysis of local and international trends to inform programme design.
Represent NAC at high-level industry events and cross-agency projects.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to department policy improvements.
