Job summary

IMDA in Singapore seeks a Manager/Senior Manager for its Online Communications Office to shape online safety regulation and protect users.

You will monitor trends, develop data-driven assessments, engage industry, oversee content evaluations, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver timely regulatory outcomes.

Candidates should have 5-8 years in policy or operations and a strong interest in child safety and age assurance.

Qualifications

• Background in Humanities, Social Sciences, Mass Communications, Computer Science, or Data Science.
• 5-8 years of experience in online safety or technology-related policy, product, programme management or operations.
• Strong interest in online safety and knowledge of how child safety and age assurance operate on platforms.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, writing and project management skills.
• Proactive, curious and inquisitive mindset to learn and problem solve independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor emerging online safety and misinformation trends to generate actionable policy insights.
• Develop data-driven compliance assessment approaches for online services.
• Engage with industry to enhance regulatory compliance.
• Conduct content assessments of harmful online content and take regulatory actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to operationalise online safety regulations.
• Project manage complex workstreams with timely deliverables.
