The job holder would project manage the Nodes innovation pilot/s from planning to implementation and operations on the ground and be the business partner to the external partner to cultivate and maintain warm collaboration relations and explore mid to longer term opportunities, to fulfil the requirements under the LAB25 (Library and Archives Blueprint 2025). The Nodes Initiative is to work with a partner to set up a space that can be used to pilot innovations and test projects which NLB wants to but may be unable to do at our premises due to existing infrastructure which we have already invested in. The intent of these Nodes is to leverage partner infrastructure and appear in surprising areas to offer library services to patrons who do not visit the library. This could take the form of QR codes (links to NLB’s vast amount of e-resources) on a poster or wallpaper to feature NLB’s vast e-collection to popping up in larger spaces (~100sqm) which will feature a lending collection, digital interactive screens to feature our e-collection and generative-AI products (Chatbook, StoryGen).
As the Account Manager, to present and sell the Nodes concept to prospective partners and address specific concerns they may have, to get them to come onboard the initiative. Develop project management plan across divisions and with relevant stakeholders, including content curation, determination of the necessary IT infrastructure, monitoring of project progress, working with business partner on the overall design and theme for the node so that it would be unique to the partner. Conduct research and horizon scanning to facilitate engagement with partners and coming up with innovative proposals as part of LAB25 intent to break new grounds and try new pilots. Develop visualisation of Nodes and narratives to enhance engagement with partners and aiding them in reaching decisions on deployment. Design and plan communication of monthly progress report, insights, and challenges to decision-makers. Create reports and presentations to summarise data findings to present to relevant stakeholders
At least five years of relevant work experience is preferred. Applicants with no experience but possess maturity, strong communications and project management skills may also apply. Ability to interpret user (internal and external) needs and work with different stakeholders. Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques e.g. mean, median, probability, correlation, regression, and research methodologies. Experience in data analytics and visualization software e.g. MS-Excel, Qliksense, SPSS, SAS, Tableau. Possesses critical thinking and project management skills. Strong communicator with an analytical mind. Ability to assimilate and process information from varied sources.
Work location will be at Geylang East Public Library. Successful applicant will be appointed on a project contract until 30 Dec 2027.
